Based on the notes we possess, about seven thousand inhabitants from these municipalities are actually displaced throughout the different centres in Kosovo. The displaced inhabitants during the armed conflicts in the region are mainly from Presevo Karadak, Bujanovac mountain area and Medvedja as well.
Meantime, based on the countable methods that applied the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia, about 10 thousand Albanian inhabitants from Bujanovac and 10 others from Presevo that are settled longer than one year in the countries of Europe and worldwide as well, were not counted as the inhabitants of these municipalities. On the other hand, over three thousand Serb and Roma inhabitants from Kosovo and other areas of former Yugoslavia are settled in Bujanovac. These elements affect in the artificial change of the national structure of the population of these municipalities, the tendency that is in the opposition not only with the international documents but also with the local (native) rights.
